A MESSAGE FROM SYMPOSIUM CHAIRPERSON
On behalf of the organizing committee, we warmly welcome you to join the virtual inaugural Symposium of Research and Innovation for Foods (SoRIF 2021). This symposium is hosted by Alliance Research of Innovation for Food (ARIF), University Technology MARA Campus Kuala Pilah.
ARIF, one of the established special interest groups (SIG) in UiTM Campus Kuala Pilah is on a mission to enhance the collaboration of food research, innovation, dissemination of knowledge, and commercialization for the national and international consortium of experts in various fields. With this mission, we have deliberately planned the inaugural SoRIF virtually on the WebEx platform from June 23 until June 24, 2021.
The 2-day symposium will provide a presentation of 53 young researchers which will take place on June 23 and sharing session from the renowned experts on June 24. SoRIF will bring the international and local experts altogether: Dr. Natasha Hungerford from The University of Queensland, Australia; Dr. Wenny Bekti Sunarharum from Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia; Dr. Gleb Yakubov from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom; Dr. McKenzie Lim from the Queensland Health Forensic and Scientific Services (QHFSS), Australia; Dr. Eddie Tan Ti Tjih; Dr. Nurain Aziman; and Dr. Hisham Mohd Nooh from UiTM Campus Kuala Pilah.
As the symposium chairperson, I do believe that the strength of the team is an individual member, and the strength of each member is the team itself. Therefore, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the organizing committee for all the hard works and effort to ensure the success of SoRIF 2021. Last but not least, special gratitude to the advisory board for their continuous support and advice that are essentially needed for this symposium to succeed.
Looking forward to meeting you virtually soon!
Regards,
Dr Siti Azima binti Abdul Muttalib.
